An Artistic Journey from Kazakhstan to New York

Born in 1992 in the quiet town of Aksay, Kazakhstan, Ainur Ryskulova’s journey as an artist is as vivid as her paintings.

From an early age, Ainur found comfort and self-expression through art. After honing her skills at the Orenburg Regional Art College in Russia, where she studied painting, she became a painter and art teacher.

Unfortunately, the political and economic instability in Russia made her realize that soon she might need to relocate to a peaceful place where she could cherish art with a calm mind.

The ongoing situation pushed Ainur to seek a new life—one where creativity and freedom could thrive.

Her search led her to New York City, a city known for its electric energy, diverse culture, and ever-changing landscape.

Ainur In New York

About Me.

New York's complexity resonated with Ainur, inspiring her to observe and depict the stories of the people and the pulse of the city through her art.

Her "Empire City" series is the culmination of this new chapter in her life, reflecting her personal journey of transformation, adaptation, and the universal search for identity in a chaotic world.

Ainur’s work is an exploration of the human experience. Whether it is the calm of a natural landscape, the intensity of a stranger’s gaze, or the frenetic pace of city life, each stroke on the canvas speaks to a deeper story, inviting viewers to reflect and connect.
